Unique Stair Designs

Commissioned by Drana Inc., this staircase was never going to be circulation alone. It is the first thing you meet on entering, and the element the whole interior is composed around.

We treated the flight as a single sculptural gesture — each tread cantilevered to read as though it floats, the handrail drawn as one continuous line from base to landing. Daylight from above falls along the run, so the stair shifts character through the day.

From the earliest 3D studies to the final setting-out drawings, every junction was resolved to the millimetre. The discipline is invisible; what remains is a quiet, confident piece of architecture you happen to be able to climb.
